Our Partners   Steven R. Martin     Steve has more than 30 years of experience in financial and tax leadership positions.  Steve is the former Partner in Charge of Tax of the Orlando office of Ernst & Young LLP.  Steve's public accounting career with Ernst & Young spanned over 16 years in their Atlanta and Orlando offices.  During his career with Ernst & Young, he performed both audit and tax services for both private and publicly-held companies and their executives operating in the retail, consumer products, high-tech, communications and entertainment industries.  He coordinated and performed financial and tax due diligence efforts and structuring on numerous mergers, acquisitions and dispositions.  He provided professional services to many high-profile clients including Harris Corporation, Intersil, The Golf Channel, Darden Restaurants, Holiday Inn Worldwide, The Athlete's Foot, Wolf Camera, Service Merchandise, Aaron Rents and Upton's Department Stores. Prior to co-founding Martin & Martin, LLP, Steve was the Chief Financial Officer of Milcom Technologies Inc - a technology incubator focused on the commercialization of technology sourced from defense contractors.  Steve also served as the interim CFO of the Milcom portfolio companies as they were created.  He helped these companies obtain financings, prepare their business plans and financial models, and set up their accounting systems and systems of internal controls. Steve graduated with honors from the University of Florida with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting.  Steve is a Certified Public Accountant and holds active licenses in Florida, Georgia and New Jersey.  He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Florida Society of Certified Public Accountants.  Steve can be reached by e-mail at smartin@martincpas.com. Elizabeth C. Martin   Liz has more than 30 years of experience serving clients as an accounting and tax advisor.   Liz is a former Tax Senior Manager with Price Waterhouse LLP (now known as PricewaterhouseCoopers) having worked 12 years in their Atlanta office.  During Liz's career with Price Waterhouse, she served numerous private and publicly-held companies and their executives operating in the real estate, consumer products and entertainment industries.  Liz's clients included Post Properties, Peterson Properties, Tom's Foods, Williamscraft Group, and the entertainer Elton John.  Liz was the lead Tax Senior Manager on the Post Properties REIT public offering, which was the largest residential REIT public offering at the time of its IPO in 1993. Prior to co-founding Martin & Martin, LLP, Liz was an independent accounting and tax consultant to entrepreneurial businesses and individuals located in the Central Florida area. Liz graduated with honors from the University of Florida with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting.  She is a Certified Public Accountant and holds active licenses in Florida and Georgia.  Liz is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Florida Society of Public Accountants.
